Proving to be one of my favorite designers, Jen Kao is an American fashion designer of Taiwanese ethnicity. She was born in L.A. and grew up in Kansas. She graduated from NYU with a degree in studio art and obtained a graduate degree from Parsons School of Design.
Her career began in 2007 when she debuted a spring collection at New York Fashion Week. Elle describes her designs as "art-inspired, intellectually approached, and meticulously executed." M.I.A., Elettra Wiedemann, and Rachel McAdams are devotees of her fashion.
Kao is really quite good at the ultra-sexy but sophisticated knit dress (with her signature diamond-pattern paneling)
