Fortunately, there are plenty of other sources from where you can find great lingerie without the Agent Provocateur price tag. One of my favorites...Etsy!
Shops of note:
Not only does Vees create beautiful lingerie, she also designs clothing inspired by feelings, emotions, and life-experiences. Her shop is also dedicated to The Tiny Hearts Funds, a charity that funds families in need who are struggling to fight against cancer. 3% of every item sold in her shop will be put into the fund in which by the end of every year will be donated to support families directly in need. The amount of the fund raised will be shown on her blog and updated on her twitter. You can find all contact information on Vees' profile.
Hopeless Lingerie and Hopelessly Devoted Accessories create high quality women’s lingerie, lounge-wear and accessories inspired by feminine beauties of all eras. All pieces are constructed using the finest materials available and are finished by hand, employing techniques not seen in mass produced products. Pieces are designed to reflect the glamour of past eras, while still referencing modern design elements. A correct fit and flattering shape for an array of female figures is a top priority, while still alluding to the theatrical nature of fashion.
Created by Liya, a small town girl with big dreams, living and working in Tel Aviv - London and the Far East. With a degree in Textile Design, Liya was based in London designing collections for high-end lingerie brands. In 2009, Liya opted to take a risk and left her day job to start her own line of handmade luxury lingerie. She called the label called "La Lilouche." She's an avid fan of traveling and exploring (like me!) and takes her work with her wherever she goes, whether that may be walking mesmerized through the textile markets in Iniad to geathering inspirations from the accessory markets in China.
Gilda & Pearl partly takes it's name from the 1940s film 'Gilda', where Rita Hayworth's couture, luxury wardrobe helped her to become known as the ultimate femme fatale. Names including “How to Marry A Millionaire” and “Frankly My Dear” nod to their vintage styling, seductive details- like satin ribbons and silk chiffon ruffles- and lashings of luxury. Gilda & Pearl always sources the most luxurious materials - like soft natural silk satins and traditional Nottingham & French lace - to create lingerie to love. Fabrics are sourced locally whenever possible and every piece is handmade using traditional lingerie techniques. The result is perfectly fitting lingerie, exquisitely made to make the wearer feel confident and feminine.
The name Toad Lillie comes from a charming woodland flower which somewhat resembles an exotic orchid. Most people are unaware of them, but once they are discovered they are completely unforgettable. Like their namesake, Lillies are based on flowers. Flowers are unabashedly sexy - with intoxicating layers that both conceal and reveal - rich, glossy petals with ruffled edges and alluring centers. With a nod to vintage styling at the height of couture fashion and old hollywood glamour, Toad Lillie lingerie expertly transforms luxe fabrics into dramatic intimates for the modern woman. Exquisite shirring, ruching, pin-tucking and beading combined with a sophisticated color palette makes each Lillie a work of art. Lillies are made to order and will be one of a kind. Each one is unique, just like the woman who wears them, with a name and personality all their own.
